In a bid to unlock new economic opportunities, leaders from East Africa and the Arab world convened on July 11, 2024, at a meeting held at Kigali Heights. John Bosco Kalisa, CEO of the East African Business Council, met with Mohamed Osman, Chairman of the Arab African Business Club, and Shema Katende, Managing Director at RDNews Limited. The discussions focused on showcasing East Africa’s investment potential to the Arab world and exploring ways to leverage existing resources for sustainable development in the region.

This meeting underscores the growing recognition of Africa’s economic potential and the Arab world’s appetite for strategic investments. With a focus on data-driven journalism and innovative digital platforms like the RDArabic Platform, the aim is to foster a mutually beneficial partnership that creates jobs and drives long-term growth.
